Dr. Matthew Adeyanju is a Professor and Director in the Department of Social and Public Health at Ohio University. He received his Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology and Pharmacology and his Masters in Public Health from the University of Ibadan. Dr. Adeyanju earned his Certificate in Research, Population Education, Administration, and Communication from the University of Chicago and his PhD in Community Health Education, Safety Studies, Research Methods, and Statistics from the University of Illinois. He is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Dr. Adeyanju's interests are in the area of community and public health with emphasis in the areas of health behavior, epidemiology, descriptive and quantitative research analysis, grant writing, health care delivery systems, planning, implementation and evaluation of health programs, health administration, international health, cross-cultural perspectives and health implications. He is a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA) and the American Association for Health Education (AAHE), a fellow of the American School Health Association (FASFA), and nominee for the Ohio University's CHHS Outstanding Teaching Award in 2001 and 2006 to 2008.

Dr. RuthAnn Althaus is a Professor of Health Administration and Coordinator of the Master of Health Administration Online Program in the Department of Social and Public Health at Ohio University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Zoology from Ohio University, Doctor of Philosophy in Health Education and Adult Education from the Ohio State University, Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois - Medical Center, and Master of Business Administration from Illinois Benedictine College. Dr. Althaus earned her Certificate in International Business Faculty Development from the University of Hawaii, Certificate of Advanced Study from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), and Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. Dr. Althaus is a Certified Health Education Specialist, as well.

Dr. Althaus' research interests include US health system financing and organization, comparative health systems, ethical issues in health administration and business, and the role of multinational business in socioeconomic progress in developing countries. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Association for the Advancement Health Education. Dr. Althaus is a recipient of the Gold Best Case Award from the North American Case Research Association in 2006.

Edward Budd is a facilitator in the Department of Social and Public Health at Ohio University. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accounting from Loyola University Chicago and his Master of Management in Finance and Health Services Management from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Mr. Budd's experience includes a number of years as Chief Financial Officer for a major, urban not-for-profit hospital and medical center, Director of Finance for a metropolitan health system, and Assurance Manager for a large accounting firm. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).


Photo of Dr. Judi Haberkorn Dr. Judi T. Haberkorn, PhD, MBA, MPH, MSW

Dr. Judi Haberkorn is a facilitator in the Department of Social and Public Health at Ohio University. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois and her Master of Public Health and Master of Business Administration from Saint Xavier University. Dr. Haberkorn earned her PhD in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Haberkorn served as National Director of Strategic Development, as well as in other capacities, for a large hospice company and as a hospice start-up consultant. She has taught a range of health and social service courses and, early in her career, worked in various social work positions. Dr. Haberkorn's research interests include health disparities, health policy, media policy, domestic violence, and end of life care.

Philip Harder is a facilitator in the Department of Social and Public Health at Ohio University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from University of Illinois Champaign and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University. Mr. Harder is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His experience includes many years in health care finance as Chief Financial Officer of an acute care hospital and other financial positions in urban hospitals. More recently he has served as the Associate Dean of Professional Studies at Robert Morris College and has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in health care finance over the years. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.


Photo of Gerald LedlowGerald Ledlow, Ph.D., MHA, FACHE

Dr. Ledlow, as a board certified healthcare executive and Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, has led team members and managed resources in health organizations for over 24 years, 14 as a practitioner and over a decade as a teacher-scholar. He has successfully held positions in: 1) executive level positions in corporate and military health systems in the areas of clinical operations, managed care, supply chain and logistics, information systems and facility management; 2) management positions in health services, medical material and supply chain; and 3) various academic leadership positions as the director of doctoral programs at two universities, director of academic affairs, director of student services, director of the center for survey research and health information as well as holding tenured faculty positions at two doctoral research universities. Dr. Ledlow earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oklahoma, a Masters of Health Administration degree from aylor University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the Virginia Military Institute. Dr. Ledlow has been awarded the National Managed Care Executive of the Year in 1998, the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent's Award in 2003 and 1997 and the Boone Powell Award for the top research project of the year in 1996.

Al Rosenbloom is an associate professor of international business and marketing at Dominican University, River Forest, IL. In addition to holding a PhD from Loyola University of Chicago, Al has a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois Chicago Circle. Al has held jobs as Assistant Administrator, Mental Health Division, DuPage County Health Department and as Marketing Director, Carnow, Conibear & Associates, an occupational safety and industrial hygiene consulting firm. Al has his own market research firm, A & R Consultants, through which he conducts market research for health care and nonprofit organizations as well as for small businesses. Al is a published author in the fields of global branding and marketing within the context of emerging market economies.
